MITRE has an exciting opportunity to support our sponsor in the investigation of Commercial Small Satellites (SmallSat) imagery, derived analytics, and tools for use on a wide set of missions within the Intelligence Community (IC). The task needs someone skilled in geospatial analysis, remote sensing, and software development. Familiarity with NGA, commercial imagery, imagery analysis workflows, imagery derived analytics, source selection, and acquisition is helpful. The primary work location is NGA-East in Springfield, Virginia. The current planned work includes the following:
Providing analytics to assessment teams who are exploring commercial products and services.
Provide creative insights and recommendations for using Commercial GEOINT to solve the sponsors hard problems.
Managing task data to inform task reports on a variety of topics.
Execute critical tasks and develop outcomes that support the NGA Commercial GEOINT Strategy.
Synthesizing findings across the task that support recommendations for integrating commercial GEOINT, to include topics such as architecture and acquisitions.
Providing analysis on various commercial imagery products and analytic services to make recommendations to our sponsor.
Writing papers on topics that answer task research questions.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree; Polygraph Clearance; and 8 years' related experience including GEOINT analysis; Geographic Information Systems (GIS) such as ArcGIS or similar; understanding of remote sensing, commercial imagery, and analytic techniques; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
